I was the Ambassador of the “Training Tomorrow’s Champions” Course!

It was an Honor to Be the Ambassador of the “Training Tomorrow’s Champions” Course for the Progetto Talento 2024

It was a great honor to be chosen as the ambassador for one of the lessons in the “Training Tomorrow’s Champions” course, organized by the Regional Committee of FIDAL Lombardia as part of the Progetto Talento 2024. This ambitious project aims to support the comprehensive growth of 30 young athletic talents, preparing them not only on the track but also for their future professional careers.

A Focus on Social Media Management

The lesson I participated in focused on a crucial aspect of modern athletes’ careers: social media management. The setting for the lesson was particularly inspiring, taking place at Meta’s Milan offices, the company behind global platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Threads. The young athletes tackled key topics such as managing their personal brand and avoiding common mistakes when interacting with followers.

Privacy, Security, and Digital Threats

A significant portion of the lesson was dedicated to social media privacy and security, with a focus on tools that help protect against digital threats. We discussed the importance of monitoring and controlling time spent online, especially for underage athletes, as well as the risks of fake identities, phishing, and other common dangers in the digital world. In an era where the digital world is increasingly intertwined with daily life, understanding these aspects is essential for anyone aspiring to a professional career.

Practical Advice for Instagram Success

The second part of the lesson concentrated on practical advice for optimizing the use of Instagram. I explained to the athletes the importance of curating their feed, which serves as their personal brand’s business card, and using stories to keep their audience engaged. We also explored the use of reels, a key tool for increasing visibility and ensuring Instagram’s algorithm suggests their content to a wider audience. The goal was to equip athletes with the skills to turn their profiles into platforms that enhance their public image and support personal and professional growth.

A Rewarding Experience

Being part of such a special project like Progetto Talento 2024 has been an incredibly exciting experience for me. Contributing to the education of young athletes, not only through theoretical knowledge but also with practical advice, was truly rewarding. Today, professionalism requires much more than physical preparation: it’s crucial to know how to manage one’s public image with care and awareness. I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to contribute to their growth, and I’m excited to see how they will continue to develop both in their athletic careers and personal journeys.
